Authors of any accepted submission should submit a video presentation with captions of their paper for the conference in the final version of their submission in precisionconference.
Given the hybrid nature of CHI ’23, we ask all presenters to submit a pre-recorded video presentation of their work. These pre-recorded videos are not only absolutely necessary for remote presenters to cope with any technical issues we might run into during the conference, but they are also mandatory for on site presenters as this is what will be available on the conference platform for remote attendees. Such a video is a requirement to present your work at the conference.
The duration of a video presentation depends on the type of contribution:
- Authors of a Paper, Case study, alt.chi or Journal contribution should submit a 7-10 min pre-recorded presentation of their work.
- Authors of an Interactivity contribution should submit a 5-min pre-recorded presentation of their work.
- Authors of a Late Breaking Work contribution should submit a 3-min pre-recorded presentation of their work.
The deadlines for submitting video presentations are indicated in the respective calls for papers.
Submitting a video presentation does not mean that authors will not have the possibility to give a live talk at the conference. Onsite authors will be invited to give a talk in person, and we are investigating ways of enabling authors who attend from afar to give a remote live talk as well.
